Hi Bri, and welcome to our forum.

Are you trying to learn Spanish, or are you merely looking for a free translation service?

how about "que tal?" or "como te va?"

if you want to say what is new, say "Que hay de nuevo"

another meaning in Spanish, "qué paso", Spanish counterpart to American English's "was up" or "watitdo". Don't know why Texan "gangster" uses "watitdo." But mainly used in Big Cities/ Urban.

You don't really say, "how are you doing today?" in Spanish. You would say something like "comó estás" or "comó está" depending on whether it was a friend of yours or someone with who you were more formal. Various other informal methods exist like "comó le va?" (how is it going).
