In the paraphrasis ir+a+verb infinitive, ir is the verb that is conjugated.
The verb in your sentence is already conjugated. El partido va....
The game is going to.....
We are going to....
Vamos a.....
They are going to....
Van a .....
whatever is going to be done Spanish expresses with the verb infinitve in this periphrases.
