I found this Spanish text:
Citometría de flujo: Técnica de clasificación de células en que los cromosomas son teñidos con un marcador fluorescente que se une selectivamente al ADN, permitiendo la diferente fluorescencia de cada cromosoma su separación física.
The approximate translation of this is: A technique of classification of cells in which the chromosomes are dyed with a flourescent marker that selectively binds to the DNA, permiting the different flourescence of each chromosome (and) their physical separation.
This may be the English karotyping, but I'm not sure.

i believe this is cytometry /cy·tom·e·try/ (-tre) the characterization and measurement of cells and cellular constituents. may be wrong though. any physisists out there.
