I could be wrong on this, but aren't "guineos" the short "finger bananas" - Izanoni1, Sep 11, 2009
I don't think so, maybe you're thinking of "nino banana" (or should it be niño?) - Vikingo, Sep 11, 2009
I don't know...but it could be that you are right - Izanoni1, Sep 11, 2009

By the way in Bolivia they have lots of bananas that I have never seen in England including: red ones - black ones (when ripe) - green ones (for cooking) and the little short ones (best tasting) - for some strange reason (trade restrictions) they are not exported to Europe and cost almost nothing because there are so many of them. el plátano la banana Guineo (the other names are all from Andean Languages and I don't know them.

banana is one of the most localized words in Spanish. There are many words for it in different countries.

I know of plátano (Mexico), banana (Guatemala) and guineo (El Salvador).
