Hacerse daño
I have a friend that's learning Spanish, so we practice conversation once a week. When she asked me "¿Qúe pasó con el dedo?" (I had a bandaid on my finger), I didn't know how to respond. I wanted to say "I hurt my finger yesterday" but couldn't figure it out!
I looked in the dictionary and it says:
to get hurt or to hurt oneself = hacerse daño
So, my guesses are:
"Me hice daño al dedo." (I hurt my finger) "Me hizo daño al dedo." (my finger got hurt)
Any corrections or comments are greatly appreciated.

I have heard that the correct verb to use would be lastimar, so you could say
Me lastimé el dedo
Try this link
Me dano el dedito.
I would say: "Me corté el dedo", "Me lastimé el dedo" If you say: "Me hice daño al dedo", this seems like you hurt yourself If you say: Me hizo daño al dedo", thi does not have any sense
Me lastimé el dedo
Me hice daño en el dedo
Okay, thanks everyone!
