how to say "it sounds"
How to properly say "it sounds" as in "it sounds like you are learning alot"? Using the word sonido doesn't seem to fit right? Maybe "appears" would be a better word? Although that doesn't seem to fit either.
"Sonido eres aprendiendo mucho."
o
"Aparece que tú eres aprendiendo mucho"
Are any of these close to what I am trying to convey?

A teacher in class once asked me which was the film that I have watched most times El sonido de la música was my reply meaning the well known musical starring Julie Andrews, she gave me a strange look and told me that in spain they call that film "Sonrisas y Lagrimas" which transalates into english as tears and laughter or words to that effect anyway nothing like the sound of music is it.
"aparece que tú eres aprendiendo mucho"
this means that you are something or other in this case you are (your name is, eres aprendiendo mucho) - you are Peter, you are tall, you are short.
aparece = appears que = who,whom, that......notice,qúe = what - ¿ qúe hora es?, ¡ qúe suerte!
tú = you
eres = you are
aprendiendo = learning - in the present tense
mucho = a lot ,much
