Llevo un ano aprendiendo espanol.

Strawberry, just an FYI: the words "ano" and "espanol" are spelled incorrectly without the ñ. "Ano" means anus. - --Mariana--, SEP 2, 2009

Hi Strawberry - you could say this. ¿He estado aprendiendo el español por un año? I have been learning Spanish for a year.

Actually, I believe the present perfect is not used for that type of sentence. "Hacer que" or "llevar" expressions are used. - Nick-Cortina, SEP 2, 2009
