That is a good question. I don't think I have an exact answer, but when I find myself wanting to say "oh well" I usually say:
"Olvídalo" or "no importa"
I guess you could also say "bueno" but with a melancholy, "oh well" type of intonation.
I'll be interested to see what others say in response to your question.
