We have a reference article on this, if you would be so kind as to read it.

I assume that you mean letters of the alphabet when you employ the plural. As far as I know Spanish only has one alphabet. (with perhaps various pronunciations regionally).

There is only one Spanish alphabet, and this contains letters!

The word alphabet comes from alpha and beta, the names of the first two letters of the Greek alphabet. In Spanish we also say "abecedario", with "a", "be" and "ce", the names of the first three letters of the alphabet.
