How would you ask a child to "Please pick a book and bring it to the desk?" I help at an elementary library, and there are quite a few spanish speaking children there who would probably appreciate something more than gestures for instructions!

Por favor, elija un libro y tráigalo al mostrador.

I am not too sure what the "desk" would be called in the library, however, mostrador equates to the English word counter which might be appropriate on this occasion.
