How do you say "surf" or "surfing" as in the ocean sport?
I love to surf and today I went surfing

The noun surf is in RAE, but surfear looks specious to me. (There is a surfear in our dictionary, but it refers to navigating the net.). I think Paralee used hacer surf in her lessons.
[surf][1]
[1]: http://surf. (Del ingl. surf). 1. m. Deporte náutico consistente en mantenerse en equilibrio encima de una tabla especial que se desplaza sobre la cresta de las olas. 2. m. Baile propio de la década de 1960. Real Academia Española © Todos los derechos reservados
It's really simple. Surfear, or hacer surf.
Me gusta surfear. I like to surf.
