Describing a small largemouth bass.

I wish to comment on my spanish speaking friends small large mouth bass.

When I looked up the names for a largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) and a smallmout bass (Micropterus dolomieui) I noticed that there were different names for the largemouth bass (both in English and Spanish) depending on whether it was a freshwater or marine species. You may need to be more specific as to which fish you are referring to.

I just got that by looking at the Spanish version of Wikipedia's English entry on largemouth bass, which is entitled "micropterus salmoides." Beyond that, I'm not sure how I'd describe you friend's bass.
