Estoy confundida! Saying "It's nice to meet you..."

Question

Are all these phrases saying the same thing or are there difference in each of their meanings?

Mucho gusto. Encantado de conocerte.
Encantado de conocerlo.

Mucho gusto. Encantado de conocerte. Encantado de conocerlo.

The only difference is : conocerte and conocerlo, first is familiar and the second is more formal. You can say: mucho gusto if you wish -. Or simply: encantado/a as we do here in Spain.

I think "mucho gusto" is too formal under my point of view. "Encantado de conocerle" is when you are being introducing to a person who is older than you. It is used for an adult person who is much older than you. Or perhaps in a more formal introduction.
And "encantado de conocerte" is in a less formal introduction because this person is the same age as me or because the situation is less formal. As Heidita says, we get used to saying: encantado. If the situation is very informal, we are satisfied with: ¡hola! o ¿qué hay?. I cannot remember when it was the last time I used: encantado.
