How many people use this website daily?
Because most of time I see the same people with their questions and the same people gave me answers.

I am not releasing any official numbers, but if you go to our About page, you can see some pretty interesting statistics.

over 100,000 members
And I am positive those numbers have grown since we launched the new version. Membership is way up, people watching the learning videos is way up, the number of posts in the forum and the number of flashcards created have exploded. We are so glad people are finding the best Spanish learning site out there!
That's an interesting observation. You would think that with the thousands of members that this site has, that every thread would have several hundred replies even if only a small percentage of the members appreciated studying grammar.
Personally, I think Heidita intimidates them (fear of being sent to the dunce corner) so they all wise up and keep their opinions to themselves.
Some of us, however, refuse to learn from our mistakes and looking foolish in public and dealing with merciless ridicule is just accepted as neccesary to reach our goal of learning to garble the Spanish language.
While I agree that there may be some forers who are lacking in their tact or patience with some questions, I also believe that it is bad manners on a learning site to not correct the errors of others.
Also, as a long time member of the site, I think that it is ridiculous to see the number of posts made just to get the translation of a word that can easily be found in the dictionary.
I am one of the most frequently corrected members of the site, and though it may hurt my pride from time to time, I know that I will not improve if I am not corrected.
i look at what heidita say...do people get ban from here for having a different view?
i agree with carlo. when u want to make a question, u just do that how u can. alot of the people here do have smart thing to say to the students, but the bosses tolerate it and that is why the people don't talk (i think). i would not ask a question i do my lesson and if i have question i ask the dictionary or go to other site.
There is here, sometimes, too much of an emphasis on "being correct." That is, you must know the grammar first before speaking.
And, at times, some "correctors" can seem to be a bit too condescending and even sarcastic. I don't think they mean to be that way; it's just that their passion for illuminating a beautiful language can undercut their role as teacher, which is to coach and encourage. And to build upon and thus help us to refine our brave and fragile attempts to learn to speak and read Spanish.
That "traditional" approach, it seems to me, can curtail the joy of learning to speak another language. One should plunge in - the way children learn. Go ahead - make mistakes. I do frequently, but when in Mexico, my errors are never ridiculed. Nor are they corrected: most people I meet there are simply delighted to hear a "norte" attempting to speak Spanish. In fact, even some of my closest Mexican friends refuse to correct me, even when I beg them to. They think it's bad manners to correct
As for qfreed, he has a valid point, one that could cause some reflection by a few of our esteemed instructors?
it's probably like facebook...all the same people make the answers and everyone else just goes with their own business.
