Honduras

I thought it was from a Central American country. You begin to recognize each country's way of doing things after you translate so many of them.

If you are translating his birth certificate for official paperwork, say, for Immigration, you probably want to have it done by a certified translator. I have found the Immigration Department to be leery of self- (or family-) translated documents. You could say whatever you wanted to there, since you are not a sworn/certified translator.

Just curious ... what country is that birth certificate from'

I have no idea why "se" is there.

Good point, no se should be there, makes no sense.

I have no idea why "se" is there. I would need the rest of the sentence to continue. Maybe you meant to type "se encuentran," or some other word is missing there.
