Despierto vs despertado

Question

I believe that there is an error in the conjugation section for the verb "despertar."

It has the past participle listed (see link below) as "despierto," but shouldn't it be "despertado?"

The book 501 Spanish Verbs says "despertado," so I have a feeling you're right. Now I know that I can't just scribble down whatever the website tells me - guess I'll have to consult the book from now on.cheese

That book has a few mistakes as well. I'd check the RAE page for this.

And I think Lazarus said one time that all past participles of -AR verbs are regular, thus using the standard -ado ending.

I think it's a site error, other sites seem to be saying 'despertado' is the participle and 'despierto' is the adjective form.

me desperté temprano anoche.

despertarse-to wake one's self up. It is reflexive me despierto temprano mañana. ( I will wakeup early tommorow, often in spanish the present indicative tense is used to express the future.) This is confusing to people who speak english because our future is marked by "going to" and "will".
