I would like to know how to say I love you in spanish,would it be Te amo ? is that a romantic way to say that? I found that quiera is not a for sure love word?

Another expression is: Te quiero.

Te amo can be used between people in various relationships, like between family members and close friends. Te quiero, on the other hand, is used only for romantic situations.

So, I would say "querer" is used with close friends and family; "amar" with romantic relationships.
