de + el = del
a + el = al
Technically, you should say "desde el estado de ...." Otherwise, it could be interpreted to mean that the state of Tennessee is sending the greetings. Most people would not interpret it that way, but just so you know, "desde" means "from" (or "since") and it shows an originating point or source, or a starting point.
I think you're safe, though, with "... del estado de ...." I think the natives use that, too.
