What dialect is taught in the lessons/on this site?

I'm just wondering because my mother and her family can speak Spanish from Mexico, and I want to make sure I would be able to join in and be understood. Thank you!

Most of the time, they teach standard Spanish (with "seseo"), which should be understood in any Spanish speaking country 99.9% of the time. Mexican slang and street expressions can only be learnt in Mexico.
