How quickly can I learn to write and speak spanish fluently?

The last time I received spanish lessons was in 1987. I remember bits and pieces of this language, but not enough to write, or carry on a conversation. Does anyone know of a quick way for me to be able to converse and write spanish fluently? Thanks

It depends on what you mean by fluently. If you mean being able to speak and understand without having to stop and translate in your head... depending on the base that you have and the amount of exposure that you have while trying to gain 'fluency' it could be anywhere from a month to several years. How much exposre are you anticipating and how much Spanish did you know before you stopped learning?
