An intransitive verb is one that does not require a direct object (e.g. The man sneezed.).
1. (to yield)
a. to produce
La receta rinde suficiente para cuatro personas.The recipe produces enough for four people.
2. (to do well)
a. to perform
Los trabajadores no están rindiendo así como son capaces.The workers are not performing as well as they are able.
3. (to be enough)
a. to serve
El plato fuerte puede rendir para dos personas.The main course can serve two people.

4. (to conquer)
a. to defeat
Los mexicanos rindieron al ejército francés en la Batalla de Puebla.The Mexicans defeated the French army at the Battle of Puebla.
5. (to tire out)
a. to exhaust
¡Este trabajo me rinde!This job exhausts me!
6. (to honor)
a. to pay
Rinden homenaje a sus veteranos de guerra una vez al año.They pay homage to their war veterans once a year.
7. (to give up)
a. to surrender
Los soldados nos obligaron a rendir nuestras armas.The soldiers made us surrender our weapons.
8. (finance)
a. to yield
Esta cuenta solo rinde un 0.25% anual.This account only yields 0.25% a year.
A pronominal verb always uses a reflexive pronoun. (e.g. Te ves cansado.).
9. (to admit defeat)
a. to quit
Se rindieron con demasiada facilidad.They quit too easily.
b. to give up
No sabes qué es, ¿verdad?¿Te rindes? - Sí, me rindo. ¿Qué es?You don't know what it is, do you? Do you give up? - Yes, I give up. What is it?
c. to give in
Va a ser difícil encontrar trabajo, pero no me rindo.It's going to be difficult to find work, but I'm not giving in.
10. (to capitulate)
a. to surrender
Nuestras tropas estaban rodeadas por las fuerzas enemigas y tuvieron que rendirse.Our troops were surrounded by enemy forces and had to surrender.
b. to give oneself up
Tras un asedio de tres horas, el delincuente se rindió.After a three-hour siege, the criminal gave himself up.
11. (to admit)
a. to confess
El ladrón por fin se rindió al crimen.The thief finally confessed to the crime.
