1. (used to indicate direction)
a. out to sea
Las olas nos empujaban mar adentro, y tuvimos que remar con fuerza para alcanzar la orilla.The waves were pushing us out to sea, and we had to row hard to reach the shore.
2. (used to indicate position)
a. out at sea
Mar adentro, el viento soplaba mucho más fuerte que en la bahía.The wind was blowing much harder out at sea than in the bay.
