A phrase is a group of words commonly used together (e.g once upon a time).
1. (short or defined period of time)
"That's being cruel," he thought."Eso es ser cruel", pensó.
b. pensó que (before a verb phrase)
He arrived an hour early because he thought we were meeting at 6 pm and not 7 pm.Llegó una hora temprano porque pensó que nos íbamos a reunir a las 6 pm, no a las 7 pm.
2. (long or undefined period of time)
He thought about her all the time.Pensaba en ella todo el tiempo.
b. pensaba que (before a verb phrase)
He thought he knew her, but he was wrong.Pensaba que la conocía, pero estaba equivocado.
