3. (to make more acceptable)

Conoces a alguien, te enamoras. Son cosas así las que te endulzan un poco la vida.You meet someone, fall in love with them. It's things like these that make your life a bit better.
b. to sugar-coat
A word or phrase that is commonly used in conversational speech (e.g. skinny, grandma).
Mi mamá siempre endulza las malas noticias.My mom always sugar-coats bad news.
A pronominal verb always uses a reflexive pronoun. (e.g. Te ves cansado.).

4. (to become gentler)
a. to mellow
Tenía un carácter muy difícil, pero se le endulzó con la edad.He was a very difficult person, but he mellowed with age.
