f. close
Era un día bochornoso, así que fuimos a nadar.It was a close day, so we went swimming.
2. (disgraceful)
a. embarrassing
Los platos que sirvieron estaban fríos. Fue bochornoso.The dishes were served cold. It was embarrassing.
b. shameful
Es bochornoso que los periódicos hayan publicado fotos de la actriz con su amante.It's shameful that the newspapers published pictures of the actress with her lover.
