intransitive verb 3. (to menace; with "con")
a. to threaten to El déspota amenazó con acabar con la libertad de prensa. The despot threatened to do away with the freedom of the press.
An impersonal verb is a verb with no apparent subject (e.g. Llueve en España.).
impersonal verb 4. (to give signs of)
a. to look like Amenaza nieve en esa región. It looks like snow in that region.
