Espero que la vida te trate tau lieu couro tu tratas a las persouas.
Hi there,

While traveling recently I became friends with a Spanish man that gave me a note when I left written in Spanish. He told me I had to figure out what it says by the time he gets here in a few weeks.

I have been trying online translators to no avail. I will get a few words here and there but the meaning of it is lost.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Because I have no background in the language I am not sure if I am even spelling the words correctly but this is what I think it says:

Espero que la vida te trate tau lieu couro tu tratas a las persouas. Sigue sieudo couro eres y la verdad couseguiras.

If some of the words don't make sense I will gladly scan the note and send as an image file if someone was willing to help me. Thank you in advance!

And a comment for those studying English:
You misplaced one of your prepositional phrases rather awkwardly.

(I rather doubt that you left written in Spanish).
Thank you guys so much! His writing is a little hard for me to read so it's likely I misinterpreted the letters. I really appreciate it! What a sweet guy he is!
Welcome to the forum, ChrisAnne
He must not form the letters "m" and "n" well, unless the "figure out" meant that his substitution of "u" for these letters was some kind of puzzle for you to decipher.
Espero que la vida te trate tan bien como tú tratas a las personas. Sigue siendo como eres y la verdad conseguirás.
I hope (that) life treats you as well as you treat people. Stay as you are [or, Keep being like you are], and you'll find the truth [or, the truth you will find, if he was trying to be poetic].
