Ok so I want to say this for an interview thing for school. It's like a skit we had to write about ourselves and I think it's wrong.

Tengo quince anos.
Soy americana y italiana tambien.
Quiero aprender y hablar espanol porque es muy interesante y creo que (el') espanol es una lengua muy bonita, tambien pienso que es importante entender una idioma ahora porque es divertido. Mi familia no comprenden o hablan espanol. Solamente mi hermana pero ella trabaja en el restaurante y ella no tiene tiempo para hablar y practicar conmigo entonces estoy muy triste. Ahora, estoy muy feliz porque yo practico mi espanol todos los dias y para me es muy facil hablar sin ayudar de mi familia.

HI meagn, whenever you have a word starting with i or hi you must use instead of y "e".
vaqueros e indios
manzanas e higos
americana e italiana
can anyone explain why it would be
e instead of y in the sentence
