Fui a St helens El fin de semana pasado. Mientras estuve aqui ví la pelicula "Bloody Valentinse 3D".
Hizo mal tiempo por sábado estuvo lloviendo a cántaros. Fui con mi amigo pero lo salí en St Helens

I went to st helens last week. While i was there i saw a movie.... It was bad weather on saturday it was raining cats and dogs, i was with a friend but i left him in st helens.

The answer to that is going to depend on the perspective from which you're telling the story. If you cleaned up the timeline in your narrative a little, it might help. "While I was there, I saw a movie" is a classic example of imperfect (I was there) and then preterit (something happened, I saw a movie).

Hello Al. Please change your category to "Proofreading."

It should be: "Mientras estaba aquí (allí') . . .". I think there are some other places you're using the preterit when the imperfect would be better.

I'll let others comment on the rest. Your last sentence is not clear, so it might help to provide the English version of what you want to say.

P.S. Practice is spelled with a c.
