Can't hear words while doing lesson 1.1

Question

I am on lesson one. I can hear the lady doing the introduction fine. However when I go to practice the part of the lesson where a word is spoken and I am suppose to translate it I do not get any sound. Does anyone know why this is happening.

I assume that you are doing the Practice Lesson and listening to the Flashcard audio. Sometimes the program does not load correctly and the audio add-in doesn't work. Try closing the program and starting it again. Sometimes it's a temporary problem on the SpanishDict.com server and you just have to quit the lessons and return later after the server has reset whatever went wrong. You may skip the Practice part and do the Write portion and the Speak portion while you have the lesson open. These sections do not have to be done in order. When you return to the lesson later to do the Practice flashcards your points for the Write and Speak should still be there.

Regarding your title for this discussion: there are Learn English and Learn Spanish lessons so when you refer to a lesson by number you should also tell which language you are learning.
