muchas gracis , y tambien tengo mas preguntas:

  1. this cellphone has some probolems, when I was talking with somebody, he/she always cannot hear me very clearly, always said to me" please speak loud, your voice is too low", so I guess maybe it's the problem of the speaker in the cellphone, anyway, I plan to send to repairing.

this is my translation in spanish: este celular tiene alguna problema, es que cuando estuve hablando con alguna persona, e/ella siempre no puede oirme claro, y siempre me dijo " por favor habla mas alto, tu voz esta muy baja.", entonces pienso que a lo mejor el altovoz de este celular tiene alguna problema, por eso, planeo eviarlo para repararlo.

  1. angel: Gustavo called me and asked me to tell you that he want you to call him.
tony: oh, but my cellphone doesnot have battery, would you please help me to call him and ask him to call the driver, as at thi moment, the driver is sending me home.

angel: gustavo,
anyi: sorry, I am anyi, gustavo is driving now, so I answer the phone, tell me .
angel: gustavo called me that he wanted tony to call him, but tony's cellphone doesnot have battery, so tony asked him to call the driver, because the driver is on the way sending tony to his home.

anyi: ok, gustavo will call the driver. ( ok, gustavo va a llamar la conductor)

Angela, a couple of suggestions:1. This should have been posted under "Proofreading / Correción de Textos." A better title would be something like: "reporting a problem with a cell phone"2. Please at least attempt to include the correct accents and punctuation. This will greatly help those who give their time to edit the post.

Thank you Natasha.

I will exceptionally leave this post, many people have taken too much painto answer it. ....but please, do read this before posting again:

This is a common mistake, even among natives: "No me escuchan" means that they don't want to make an effort to listen to what you say; they are basically ignoring you. "No me oyen" would be "they can't hear you".

Te oígo, pero no te escucho = I hear you, but I am not listening to what you say.
Te escucho, pero no te oigo bien = I am listening to what you say, but I can't hear you well.

Why did you put an accent on alguna?

Sorry, too many words to correct. I meant to write "algún problema", so I add the accent, but then I forgot to remove the "a"; that's why it now says "algúna" (which is wrong).

"cuando hablo con alguien, nunca puede oírme claro, y siempre me dice...¨¨ Why switch to the plural forms?

Because instead of having to say "...alguien, esta persona me dice...", or "...alguien, él o ella me dice...", and having to repeat this awkward "esta persona" or "él o ella", Spanish has another alternative: the use of the third person in plural to refer to any unspecific person or people, which matches well with the indefinite pronoun "alguien", which also can refer to both one or several unspecific people. This way, we are not talking about anyone in particular, but in general.

In "Llaman a la puerta" or "Han robado el banco" you are not really talking about "They", because you don't know whether it is one person, or several. This is a kind of impersonal construction in Spanish.

/blockquote> There are times when I would really like to _chat _ with you! (despite my overall discomfort with "chatting").

While I accept your other examples of "general statements", I would think that having _established_ the "vague subject" by saying "si alguien me dice" you could continue on with the 3rd person singular (without any additional qualification to emphasize the _general_ nature of the reference).

Short version

  1. short version
Angel: Gustavo desea que lo llames.
Tony: Hijole!( hijole is optional), la batteria del celular no trabaja:por favor habla con Gustavo y dile que llame al condutor (or chofer)que me esta llevando a casita(or casa)

shorter version:
Angel:Gustavo quiere habalr contigo-llamalo.
Tony: No puedo my cellular no trabaja, pero que llame a mi chofer, vamos a mi casa.

Short version
Gustavo'no soy Anyi.

Note: If this is a school assigment you might need all the words that you wrote , but if it is not try my shorter version. In writing try to keep it as simple as possible.
