boricua. I am really sorry! (I was thinking of "borriqueño" when I wrote it)

Actually, I believe the correct spelling is boricua, with one R.

According to Collins Dictionary the spelling is thus

Boricua - (ADj SM/F) - Puerto Rican
Borinqueño/a - (ADj SM/F) - Puerto Rican

The spelling is plain wrong -there are no spelling variations of this word, as the combination "qua" is not Spanish.

The correct spelling is borricua, and it means Puerto Rican.
Borriqueño, on the other hand -unless I am mistaken- it means "related to the donkey".

Could it be: borrica ? It's a sort of donkey. Could be used for a girl/woman who is very stubborn

Mine shows the same. Boricua may be a variation on the spelling.

I believe it is the original name of Puerto Rico or it could be a person from PR.
