You are totally right in this point, here in Chile the word Coima when relative to entrepreneurs is more elegant and is said Comisión, (Commission)

Thank you very much Eddie, exactly Coima is used here in Chile as well as Argentina and Perú, here in Chile Coima is linked to politicians mainly.

It means a bribe or a bung as we say in England. I think it is used in Argentina, Chile and Peru.
