What this might mean? particularly the underlined part. I'm trying to translate a letter from a boy or possibly a teenager. One thinks it refers to security, another thinks it may be an internship. ?

Por parte de la escuela estoy haciendo practicas proteciones y las estoy hacieno en el hotel en el area de cosina . . .

This sounds to me like someone is instituting "health and safety" measures on hehalf of the school, in the hotel and in the kitchen area.

The underlined part doesn't make sense to me, unless it is something like "prácticas de protección" or something like that. It sounds like some kind of practical course, but I've no idea what. Otherwise, there are a few orthographic mistakes.
