Construction Terminology....Help!
I am translating for a construction team doing a short-term aid project in Mexico. My Spanish is decent....except that my CONSTRUCTION VOCABULARY is quite limited!
Can someone help me out with the translation of the following words!?

THANK YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Puede que tengas razón James, revestimiento de madera suena mejor. En España y Latinoámerica no son muy típicas las casas de madera y posiblemente no se haya desarrollado un vocabulario extenso sobre esa terminología en español. Yo no estoy muy seguro de si hay una palabra específica en español para wood siding...
sheetrock=tablero de yeso (en muchos sitios se le denomina Pladur)
For wood siding, I think you would say revestimiento de madera. Siding is usually only for exterior use, but revestimiento can, I think, be used for both interior and exterior, so depending on the context, it might need further qualification.
Mogor, great post!
sheetrock-tablero de yeso
plywood-contrachapado
wood siding-parte externa de una casa de madera
Yes, please help! I need to figure this out soon!
Can anyone help with this? I saw it got bumped way down in the thread list & hasn't been solved yet.
No....I don't think that helped too much...or else I just didn't know how to use it.
Thanks!
This is not a direct answer, but the Lowe's Spanish website has "how-to" guides on it and might get you started.
