How do you say "We paid you by check for the last cleaning, but it has not cleared the bank. Have you cashed it? We want to make sure that you get paid."

Our cleaning lady has not cashed the check that we gave her at the last cleaning. We would like to make sure that she is paid, but this is not the first time that she has "held" a check. And, previously she lost one. How can we ask her about it and nicely tell her that we would like for her to cash the check quickly so that she doesn't lose it? Also, we incur a fee for having to stop a check. Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the forum. grin

I'm glad that you are concerned about your cleaning lady getting paid. Maybe you could pay her in cash for future visits and then you know for sure that she's been paid?

Someone on the forum will come along soon and give you a translation for your question.

Thanks. I would, but because of my husband's job, we cannot do that as we must have a record of payment. - epdaggett, JUN 24, 2010
