how do you say "the couple got divorced the next year" in spanish?

I also had a few other questions:

1. When saying "Elizabeth got married for the third time" is it correct to say "Elizabeth se casó por la vez tercera" ? The main part i had a question about was if that is the correct use of "por" as opposed to "para".

2. When saying "Both Elizabeth and Richard were married." is it correct to say "Ambos Elizabeth y Richard eran casados"? My question with this translation is the use of "eran" as opposed to "fueron".

3. When saying "Richard Burton dies in August of 1984 and Elizabeth was very sad because she was in love with him" is it correct to say "Richard Burton murió en agosto de 1984 y Elizabeth estaba muy triste porque ella fue enamorado de Richard"?

4. When saying "Elizabeth Taylor is still alive and is well known as a strong woman" is it correct to say "Elizabeth Taylor es todavía vivo y es bien sabido como un mujer fuerte."?
