with the naive child who lived in the moment yet not thinking of it.

Alegunda hace burla a sus dichos de pasión frustrado y remordimiento.

Alegunda made fun of her expressions of foiled passion and remorse.
“Pedir cuentas de amor es como dar consejos que no se piden; el
amor tiene que venir de dentro de tí, debe ser amor por tí misma.”
“Making accounts of love is like giving advice that is not asked for;
love has to come from inside yourself, it must be love for yourself.”
Azucena escuchaba a Alegunda mientras ella seguía divagando con sus
reflecciones; “Debes buscar a tu amado en tu fuerza no en tu falta.”
Azucena listened to Alegunda as she rambled on at her reflections;
“you must search for your beloved out of strength not out of lack.”
Se desesperaba interiormente aún cuando reia con Alegunda; en cuanto
ella dejo de reir, su sentido de tristeza al haberle perdido regresó.
She felt despair inside her, even when she laughed with old Alegunda;
soon as she stopped laughing, her sadness at the loss of him returned.
