¿Como se dice "weed" en español? ¿Se usa "hierba mala" más que "hiebajo"?

There are a few definitions for "weed" (an unwanted plant) on this website. The two ones that seem to be in use are "hierba mala" and "hierbajo". Is one used more than the other?

Mala hierba is the most common.

In México we say hierba mala, indeed there's a saying Hierba mala nunca muere, literally The weed never dies
