¿Como puedo decir -Prefactura- ?, es una forma de borrador de factura

I can see such a "prefactura" or "pro-forma invoice" being used to establish, for example, the value for customs and duty purposes where goods are shipped across international boundaries and borders under cicumstances where they are subject to import duties in the importing country. The taxing authorities in the receiving country would use the "prefactura" to establish the tax base.

How about "quotation" or "estimate"? Se me ocurre que una cotización es realmente lo único que se puede llamar a algo que se hace antes que una factura. Se hace la cotización (que vendría siendo la "prefactura"), luego el cliente si está de acuerdo hace su orden de compra, tras lo cual se le envía una factura formal.

En todo el tiempo que yo llevo trabajando con diferentes empresas que facturan trabajo, nunca me he encontrado con el término "prefactura", mas el concepto pareciera coincidir con la función de una cotización.
