Q&A
I bought some Polo Escrito wood. Polo can mean tree, so that is good. Escrito seems to mean writing? Can you explain what Palo Escrito means? Thank you.

There is a wood caled Palo Excrito. Can you translate this to English? Can you give some history behind why the wood might be called this? Thank you. Dave Hajicek

Palo, not polo; Escrito, not excrito. - CalvoViejo, ENE 29, 2010
My apology. I am fighting a migrane and seem to have trouble spelling and reading. I will use the wood for guitars. I was wondering if the wood was used for making pencils in Mexico, much like we use Red Cedar here in the states. - dhajicek, ENE 29, 2010

I believe you mean Palo Escrito (with an "s" not "x").

If so, it is a Mexican Rosewood used in making Guitars.
