How can I say "I used to do that when I was 9 and 10" without using "hice"?

For my Spanish assignment, every verb should be in the imperfect tense... She checked my assignment and said to change this sentence so it would be in the imperfect tense. How do I fix it?

"Hice esas cosas cuando yo tenía nueve y diez años."
