I am filled with mourning, looking at the flames of what was.

(flames as in "the flaming wreckage", probably. Or maybe "watching it burst into flames")

Sounds like something from a poem...here is my bad guess:

  • Bad luck surrounds me, to behold/look upon a fire (figuratively...a struggle?) of that which was.
  • bad...I know.
