In spoken spanish, what is the correct way to say "they decided to leave early"

would it be " decidieron dejar temprano" or do i have to put ellos in front of the sentence.

its confusing, because some translations put the ellos in front, and some don't

it never hurts to put the correct designation at the beginning of the sentence i.e. el, ella, ud., tu, nosotros, vosotros, yo, etc. - snowstixs13, DIC 9, 2009
I think sometimes it is silly to put on the Ellos when the subject is obviously Ellos. - 003487d6, DIC 9, 2009
