Just to piggy-back a little Lise, estar means "to be" and is a be verb for use in feelings and location and "yo" is el pronombre (a pronoun). 
Sujeto(a) means "subject" like in grammar as well as fastened (to an object), sujeto pasivo (taxpayer). I hope this helps ENSA.

Estoy es el verbo estar en la primera persona singular y yo es el sujeto.
