How do you say "meet", as in "I met her yesterday"?
Is there a verb 'to meet' or is there another way to say that in spanish?

Hi Burky
In case no one has welcomed you yet, I'd like to welcome you to the forum.
The answer you are looking for is conocer - to meet
La conocí ayer or Ayer conocí a ella - I met her yesterday
As you are new you are probably unfamiliar with some of the cool features on this site that can help you answer questions such as these on your own. Here are a couple of cool tricks.
1). If you see a word somewhere on this site, double-click on the word and a translation box will pop-up that will give you a simple definition. Both the English word and the Spanish word are hyperlinked to the dictionary definition, so you can click on either of these for a fuller definition.
2). Speaking of the dictionary, you can type in the word you are looking for either in the text box at the top of the screen or by clicking on the tab labeled "Dictionary" and then typing it into the text box in that tab.
3). If you would like a paragraph, sentence, phrase or word translated, you can go to the translation page and type in or copy and paste the desired text to be translated and you will be provided with 3 different machine translations (one word of caution - machine translations can be treacherous and should only be used to give you a close approximation or starting point for you to try to build the sentence up for yourself).
In any event, as well as being a worthwhile learning experience, I hope you find your time here fun and enjoyable. ¡Buenas suerte!
