Hi Sunshinzmomm,

I think that you might be trying to use the wrong verb here. It might be better to use the pronomial form of chivarse de algo which means to tell (on) about something or even acusar. With my own limited abilities, I would try something along the lines of:

El empleado se lo chivó de que su jefe no los pagó todos los impuestos
