My Collins Span/Eng-Eng-Span Dictionary

(HarperCollins-7th Edition-2003)

indicates that

Board of directors = Junta directiva/consejo de administración

It also indicates:

Board meeting = reunión de la junta directiva/reunión del consejo de administración

In either case, a meeting of the board of directors needs to use the word “reunión”.

Con permiso, here is the challenge. Heidita, please review and verify your earlier reply. I do not think it is correct.

I still cannot seem to open my reply to edit it.

I have just noticed that I missed an accent in the Spanish word for meeting.

Wherever it appears in my reply, it should be spelled:

reunión

HI ecol, well we say junta directiva

You were right, we do not use the word reunión here.

I want to edit my reply, but it will not re-open.

Where I entered "Junta directive" the correct spelling is "junta directiva".

Hi Ecollins, welcome to the forum. grin

If you look in the dictionary you'll see that:

I did use the dictionary, but I do not think this is the proper type of meeting that I am looking for. - ecollins93, SEP 15, 2009
A meeting, as in a business type, is "reunión." - --Mariana--, SEP 15, 2009
