"Empresa socialmente responsable" is a name given to Mexican enterprises who are thoughtful of society, environment, and other values. Is there such a category in the USA?

I am not sure if it is the same thing (as I am not familiar with the term Empresa socialmente responsable), but their is an term used for companies that follow an ideal that embraces responsibilities for the impact their activities have on the environment, employees, consumers, communities and other social spheres.

This idea has been called by several names such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Sustainable Responsible Business (SRB), Corporate Citizenship, and Corporate Social Performance. Basically, it is an ideal that involves a system of self-monitoring to ensure that laws, ethical standards and international norms are followed by integrating these goals into a business model.
