la tormenta is storm so if you are not using this word it may be wrong, ask a native?

I put it into our translator, and here is what google said:

Un aviso de tormenta tropical está en efecto a partir de la Alabama / Florida hacia el este de la frontera del Río Suwannee Florida. Verifique 511 a menudo para comprobar la información actualizada sobre los cierres de carreteras y peligrosas condiciones de manejo.

Actually, it omitted ¨verifique¨, but it was on another one. Always check the translators first, then post for a human eye to look over. I´m not fluent, but it looks ok to me.
